Designed by Plastimo R & D engineers in close cooperation with boatbuilders, this innovative system allows a single operator to install Plastimo thru-hull fittings in a quick, simple and reliable way. Principle & benefits : The inside flange of Plastimo brass thru-hull fittings have been specifically designed to accept a polyethylene two-sided, adhesive gasket which replaces the need for sealants. •Forget sealants : degreasing becomes unnecessary, no need to wait for settling and drying, no cleaning required after installation. •Quick and easy installation : a single operator can secure the thru-hull fitting from inside the boat using the special Plastimo wrench (one for each size of thru-hull fitting) in conjunction with a 24 mm spanner. This system was submitted to the most stringent mechanical tests to measure resistance to pressure, movement and chemicals (impervious to hydrocarbons and solvents). |
